Terms of Service
Last updated: 7 October 2026
These terms apply when you buy, download or use a plugin made by FlakeMC ("we", "us"). By using our plugins or this website you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use them.
1. What you are buying
You are buying a licence to use the plugin, not the plugin itself. We keep all intellectual property rights in our code, assets and documentation.
2. Licence
Unless your purchase says otherwise, one purchase grants you the right to:
- Run the plugin on servers that you own or operate.
- Configure and adapt the configuration files for your own use.
- Receive updates for the plugin for as long as we publish them.
You may not:
- Resell, redistribute, share, leak or publish the plugin or any part of it.
- Decompile, deobfuscate or reverse engineer the plugin, except where that right cannot be excluded by law.
- Remove or alter licensing, attribution or version checks.
- Use the plugin to break the law, or to operate a service that does.
Breaking these terms ends your licence immediately and without a refund.
3. Purchases
Our plugins are sold through BuiltByBit. Payment, invoicing and buyer protection are handled by that platform under their terms as well as ours.
4. Support
Support is provided through our Discord server, on a best-effort basis, in English and German. We do not guarantee a response time unless your purchase or sponsorship explicitly includes one.
5. Updates and availability
We aim to keep our plugins working on supported Minecraft and Paper versions, but we do not promise that any specific version, feature or compatibility will be maintained forever. A plugin may be discontinued. If that happens, licences already sold stay valid for the versions already released.
6. No warranty
Our plugins are provided "as is". We do not warrant that they are free of bugs, that they will catch every cheat, or that they will suit a particular purpose. You are responsible for testing on your own server before relying on them in production, and for keeping your own backups.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for lost revenue, lost data, downtime, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of our plugins. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid us for the plugin in question. Nothing here limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot be limited by law.
8. Chargebacks
Opening a chargeback or payment dispute instead of contacting us first will end your licence and may result in a ban from our Discord and future purchases.
9. Changes
We may update these terms. The version published on this page is the one that applies. Material changes will be announced in our Discord.
10. Contact
Reach us in our Discord server. For security issues, see our security page.
These terms are a starting point written for a plugin studio. They are not legal advice. Have them checked against the law where you are based before relying on them, especially the consumer rights and refund sections.
